(1) Embellishment given on the yarn in pre loom condition, for example
Ikkat from Orissa.
(2) Embellishment done during loom period with the use of extra weft yarn or zari, for example
Kanchipuram
(3) Embellishment recieved on the fabric in post loom condition in the form of embroidery or
tye and dye, for example bandhani.
